Individual Therapy
Dr. Dani is a San Diego-based clinical psychologist who is deeply passionate about working with adolescents (12-17), young adults (18-25), and adults (25-35).
In her work with young adults and adults, Dr. Dani takes a holistic view of each individual’s life, including relationships, identity development, academic or career stress, and emotional regulation. She helps clients build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, supporting them through life transitions and increasing independence.
Dr. Dani integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with holistic, mind-body approaches, addressing emotional well-being from a whole-person perspective. She focuses on helping clients better understand their emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and build confidence across all areas of life.
Her work is collaborative and systems-informed, and she regularly coordinates care with other professionals involved in a client’s life, such as psychiatrists, school counselors, and external providers, to ensure therapy is tailored to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances.
Family Support
Whether you are looking for parenting support or family therapy, Dr. Dani is especially skilled in working with teens and their families. She does so by creating a therapeutic environment where adolescents feel respected, understood, and actively involved in their care. She believes teens do best when they are placed in the “driver’s seat” of therapy and works intentionally to support independence, self-awareness, and healthy decision-making.
Dr. Dani’s approach, whether it’s parent check-ins or family therapy, is to help improve communication, rebuild trust, and create clear, collaborative action plans that support progress both inside and outside the therapy room.
Speaking Engagements
Dr. Dani offers tailored presentations for high schools, universities, and organizations- including talks specifically developed for students, parents, college groups (i.e. clubs, Greek organizations) and educators. She is committed to providing evidence-informed, engaging talks in the community to help provide individuals with the tools they need. Her presentations emphasize understanding what can lead to various challenges and how to implement realistic change, leaving those with a deeper understanding of the topic and realistic strategies for support.
